Organization
The Rinehart Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center in northern Tillamook County, Oregon. With a staff of 25 and an active Board of Directors, the Clinic strives to provide high-quality primary health care to all in the community regardless of their ability to pay. The Clinic is the sole health care provider in North County and uses a unique hybrid payment model, accepting self or third party-paying patients as well as those needing financial subsidy (there is a sliding fee payment schedule for those needing subsidy). It serves an area where 40% of the households are defined as low income and 39% of the current patient population relies on the sliding fee schedule. These fees are supplemented with funds raised by efforts of the Board of Directors and this helps make health care for the low income/uninsured possible.
