Learn to Meditate: Working with Body and Mind

This workshop will offer basic instruction in meditation and help you discover techniques to work through emotional, mental, and physical pain.
About the Instructor: Rayna Jacobson has been practicing meditation for over 40 years, and sharing her understanding with others since moving to Portland in 1984. Now considered a senior teacher in the Shambhala tradition, she continues to find great joy in sharing her meditation experience with others. She spent many years in the health field, as a RN and Acupuncturist.

Mindfulness Meditation Class
4th Monday of every month (Next Session: October 28) | Drop-In | 5:30 to 6:30 pm

Discover the health benefits of mindfulness.
Learn to meditate in a safe, welcoming environment.
Our monthly Mindfulness Meditation class will help people understand the connection between emotional wellness and healthy eating. The class is free and open to the community. The drop-in class is led by Sara Todd, one of Rinehart Clinic’s Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Sara has practiced mindfulness meditation for more than 15 years.
In addition to learning and experiencing the health benefits of meditation, regular attendees will be receive free exercise passes and healthy food vouchers.
SMART Recovery Meeting

Richard Silverman facilitates this weekly Smart Recovery meeting at Rinehart Clinic. It is free and open to the public.
About SMART Recovery: SMART Recovery Self-Management And Recovery Training (SMART) is a global community of mutual-support groups. At meetings, participants help one another resolve problems with any addiction (to drugs or alcohol or to activities such as gambling or over-eating).
