New 3-Week Class: Intro to Fasting

with Dr. Eli Andersen, Rinehart Clinic’s Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Wednesdays 3 - 4 pm | May 15, May 22, and May 29 | NCRD (Schoolhouse Room), 36155 9th Street, Nehalem, OR

Dr. Andersen will discuss the health benefits of intermittent fasting, which include improving appetite control, lowering cholesterol and blood sugars, and decreasing blood pressure (among many others). He will also cover the basics of how to fast.

This class is free and open to everyone, but space is limited. Please register by calling 1-800-368-5182, Ext. 101.

Class participants will also receive free exercise passes or healthy food vouchers.

The Basics of Diabetes Management

with Delta Holderness, RN, Certified Diabetes Educator

Tuesdays from 2 to 3 pm | April 2 - May 7, 2019 | Rinehart Clinic, 230 Rowe Street, Wheeler, OR

Need a straight-forward approach to managing your diabetes diagnosis? This class is for you! The instructor will cover nutrition, medications, sick day advice, and exercise.

The class is free and open to everyone. Class participants will also receive free exercise passes or healthy food vouchers.

Mindfulness Meditation Class

4th Monday of every month (Next Session April 22) | Drop-In | 5:30 to 6:30 pm
at Rinehart Clinic, 230 Rowe Street, Wheeler, OR

  • Discover the health benefits of mindfulness.

  • Learn to meditate in a safe, welcoming environment.

Our new monthly Mindfulness Meditation class will help people understand the connection between emotional wellness and healthy eating. The class is free and open to the community. The drop-in class will be led by Sara Todd, one of Rinehart Clinic’s Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Sara has practiced mindfulness meditation for more than 15 years.

In addition to learning and experiencing the health benefits of meditation, regular attendees will be receive free exercise passes and healthy food vouchers.
